 Hi support team,

We are using Postgres DB for our QB. We turned off the artifact publishing and keep last 20 builds for each configuration. Looks like the database is getting bigger and bigger and consuming a lot of disk spaces. Are there any DB maintenance which we should do on QB side? Please advise.

  Thanks,
ptrinh

Please check which table is consuming most of the space.

=====================================================

We just upgraded our QB server to v7.0.15. Its database consumes a lot of spaces, and the table, pg_largeobject takes most of the space, it is using 20GB. Please advise.

 Thanks,
ptrinh

How many builds do you have?

Phong Trinh [02/May/17 01:45 PM]
I don't have exact number, but it is 100+ build/day. We preserve 10 builds for each QB configuration.

Robin Shen [03/May/17 01:18 AM]
You may hit the search builds icon at right top side of the screen, and QB will show number of all builds in the system.

Phong Trinh [03/May/17 02:15 PM]
- There are ~1950 builds/day.
- %70 of them have durations which are less than 1 minute. %35 of them have durations which are less than 1 second or less.

Can you please take a backup of your database via QB administration interface and put it on dropbox so that I can download to check?

Phong Trinh [16/May/17 02:49 PM]
QB added 1GB to database server everyday. We have nightly backup of the DB, and I will put it on the dropbox. May you send me the dropbox information?

Robin Shen [17/May/17 12:35 AM]
You may just register an account at dropbox, upload your file as private, and send me the link

Phong Trinh [17/May/17 05:36 PM]
Robin,
I sent you information on how to download the file via email. Please let me know if you are not received it. Then I will re-send it.
 Thanks,
ptrinh
