Greetings,
I have recently been making heavy use of the build pipeline gadget to convey information to our developers and management, and one of the most common inquiries I receive is how they can figure out when a build was triggered and by whom. The information is obviously available in the build overview page, but when you're looking for a specific build that you know occurred on a specific day in a specific time range, that can be rather tedious to try and track down.
Therefore, this is a request to add a means to display the trigger date, time, and user to each configuration in the build pipeline gadget. This feature could be an optional setting in the gadget configuration, so it could be hidden from view for customers who don't need or want this information. There seems to be plenty of room to display this information, so I've mocked up a couple examples of what I feel would sufficiently address our use-case:
- TimeStamp.jpg - Add the information to the right of the build user information.
- ToolTip.jpg - Add the information to the tooltip that is displayed when the user hovers over the 'Build Successful' icon.
Thanks in advance,
-J. Mash
