I would suggest not just to allow export/import part of the configuration but also separate export/import of the configuration from export/import build data.
This way one will be able to organize normal development process when changes are not done directly in the production server configuration but specific part of the configuration is migrated to the development server, modified and verified there and then is migrated back to the development server w/o lost any build data on the production server.

Could you point me how to use this functionality?
I have not found it on "Administration - Database Backup" page

Environtment:
Operating System Windows 2003 5.2, x86
JVM Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 17.0-b17, Sun Microsystems Inc.
QuickBuild Version 3.1.6 - Wed Nov 24 07:13:01 MSK 2010

You may create a new configuration to execute step "Maintenance/Sync Configurations", and then run the configuration to sync local configurations with configurations from another server. This is a more convenient way than database backup/restore.
