 Description  « Hide
Newly created user (directly in QB or by LDAP Authenticator) are missing the default dashboard, they are only able to see shared dashboards.
Should not be a matter of permission as "Admin Group" users are also affected.
Old users seem not be concerned, they are still able to use the default dashboard.

This is by design as in some cases the user does not need to have a default dashboard if the task can be accomplished with some customized and shared dashboard. On the other hand, a dashboard with the configuration tree can be shared with certain group if newly created users of that group need to have a "default" dashboard.

Hm, this is quite confusing for my users:
If I do not share it, old user will have a default dashboard, new ones don't. But - as we allow a limited anonymous access - they will see the default dashboard, if they are not logged in.
If I share the default dashboard, old users will have two default dashboards, new users will see only the shared one. But because it is not theirs, they are not able to customize it, they have to create a copy first...

Although I do understand the intention behind this behavior, it's a bit weird explaining to users, that their account are different based on the date they first logged in...

Next patch release will create a default dashboard for all newly created users.
