We have several builds that trigger off child builds and wait for a response. With this feature comes the nice feature of being able to trace the results of the triggered configuration in the parent step status. It provides the green link.
 
However, we are starting to trigger child steps without waiting for them to return. These would be full-scale integration testing on a deployed release. We do not want to hold up a deployment for a 3 hour automated testing suite to complete.
 
Now when I go to the master build I would like to have that same green link there to trace its results after the fact. Also, going to the child/triggered build and tracing back to its roots.
