Be able to specify the schedule more easily, for example through day/week/month/hour choices, instead of the need to input a cron expression which is not straitforward for most users.

This probably is out of scope for this issue as phrased, but the recurrent requirement in this area from my advanced Luntbuild/Quickbuild users is to be able to create a priority list/relative schedule/simple queue, e.g. builds could be scheduled to start at same time but sorted in a priority order so that when one has finished (or a CPU is free), the next one starts immediately.
