Description |
Hello,
I have few question about agent-server connection on agent side. I've had connection lost on agent side due to network issue, and then some of agent failed job, and some of them just keep the job. First, some builds had been failed, and some builds didn't. I want to know why these are different. Second, some agent had been terminate agent.jar after connection fail, and some didn't. Also, I want to know the reason of this. Thx. |

If connection failure happens while agent sends step data back to server, the build will fail. If it happens while agent is running the step (not finished yet) and connection restored before step finishes, the build will not be affected. As to terminating agent.jar, do you mean agent process dies upon connection failure?

Hello Robin,
Thx for quick reply. do you mean agent process dies upon connection failure? Yes, it happens to some of agents. (Yesterday, My 9~10 agents failed to connect server, and some of agent process has been dead.) |

It should not die even if network connection is down. Are you able to reproduce and show me the reproducing steps as well as agent log? |
