I understand that there are several differences of note between triggering a remote configuration with a Step and checking out a QB repository. 1. Trigger does not wait until finished 2. Trigger always returns success (assuming it can be triggered) regardless of whether the remote build is a success or fail (because it didn't wait to find out) 3. Checkout will wait until finished 4. Checkout will succeed if and only if the remote build being checked out succeeded. Now I don't like having to setup a QB repository just so that I can wait until the remote build is finished because that requires me to actually checkout an artifact from that build. Sometimes I don't want any artifact from the remote build, I just want to wait until it is done and return success/fail. Therefore, can we have the trigger step have an extra property that says wait until finished? |
