I sometime face the situation where I would like to have information provided by a foreign node in a script.
For instance when testing for a suitable node in the node selection screen (see attached screen shot)
Even if the script is run on the server (or another node), I'd like to be able to ask a node in the list of nodes if, for instance, a certain file exists, or read the content of a remote file.
