Description |
We are running 2 QuickBuild instances in parallel: a Production grid, which runs all our production builds, and a Development grid where we work on changes and new configurations.
Every now and then the Development grid needs a restart. And because we're logged in to both servers for other reasons, it's easy to issue the restart command on the wrong server by accident. Obviously this is a user mistake - but it could be made much easier to avoid if the server.sh script actually asked for confirmation. So we'd like to request 2 small improvements: - Add a "Server Name" configuration field to the System Settings. - Add a confirmation message to the server.sh script for every case where the server needs to shut down: "Are you sure you want to [stop|restart] the <server_name> server? [y|N]" ('No' being the default answer) and only proceeding after user confirmation. |
