Greetings,

This is a simple request to allow the 'pattern' box on the 'text' variable prompt type scriptable, which would allow the pattern to be based on the value of another variable or configuration name (for example).

The simplest example could be something like a build version number that you hold in a variable. Let's say I have a configuration with a variable called 'YEAR' defined as 2015, and I want to make sure that my build version variable starts with 2015 as well. The way it works currently is that I'd have to specify the year in (at least) two locations (the 'YEAR' variable and the 'VERSION' variable pattern), and that can be a bit of a pain to deal with when moving to the next year.

This gets even more extreme in our case where I'm having to update the patterns on nearly a dozen different variables, so this feature will make it far more maintainable to update.

Thanks,
-J.
