In our environment, the individual developers are the ones responsible for submitting tagged builds prior to promoting those tagged builds to QA. I will now have to give them all admin access which is a security issue because they will be able to modify settings they shouldn't. We actually use variables to control several aspects of our build process having to do with triggering as well as promoting builds.
 
Can you make this functionality optional in the next release? That way, those customers that need the ability to modify variables at the build permission level can do so.
