We're using prompted variables a lot to let users choose build options, such as which component to build or which published artifact to use etc. There are situations where user cannot simply choose a predefined value from selection box, but instead has to provide a text value. What's missing in QB is some way to validate input or to specify forbidden values (a list or possibly a regex).
