At the moment there is no capability to just display a certain variable without it being editable. The variable prompt settings can be either 'do not prompt' - this disallows the variable to be seen before the build starts; or 'prompt as ...' - this make the variable to be seen as well as to be writable.
Would be nice to have 'prompt as read-only' option which would only display the variable value without it being editable. For example, it would be nice to display the current Git source tree commit signature to the user/builder.
