Make "Clean workspace of all active nodes" button configurable and prompt yes/no

Created: 14/Jul/17 06:48 PM   Updated: 21/Sep/21 12:54 AM
Component/s: None
Affects Version/s: 6.1.36, 7.0.19
Fix Version/s: 11.0.17

Original Estimate: Unknown Remaining Estimate: Unknown Time Spent: Unknown

 Description  « Hide
The button "Clean workspace of all active nodes" next to workspace if clicked can do a lot of damage.
We have many nodes in the grid with many configurations and they use the same workspace directory.
We use QB to deploy and setup up servers running our software.
So accidentally clicking this can be dangerous when the same workspace directory is on many nodes for multiple configurations.

I know we can leave this out with permissions but admin users still can accidentally click this.

Can we make this prompt for confirm yes/no
Can we also add new Node property: cleanup workspace = yes/no and those with no would never get called to cleanup when 'Clean worksacep of all active nodes' is clicked.

It is already asked yes/no before cleaning up

This issue was more about it would be nice to disable this option per build agent to prevent it from participating.
We use production build agents and having a sweeping delete across all nodes is dangerous.

Could we re-open this issue to add a setting to the system settings page. This is easy to click.
x Disable Clean workspace of all active nodes for all users

So this trash icon would not be present for any user even admin users.
Currently no way to remove this button for admin users.

Reopened, a setting disabling this will be added.

Thanks. This will be a nice addition and great insurance policy.

Any updates on when this will be added to QB 11.
